As with any year there will be celebrity scents and this years earliest seems to be Dream Come True Perfume the aptly named fragrance due for release by America's next top model.

Lady Gaga's debut fragrance designed with Coty is due out in the Spring and Madonna is releasing her perfume titled "Truth or Dare" in March.

Stella McCartney's L.I.L.Y. perfume is due for release too along with a new scent from Issey Miyake in March.

The very first fragrance released by the famous Paris born designer Gabrielle Coco Chanel was the popular scent "Chanel No 5".  Introduced in 1921, Chanel No 5 was a big success and has been on sale ever since.  The fragrances fame is due in part to Marilyn Monroe who was quoted saying that she wore five drops of the scent every night when she went to bed.

Priced at over two hundred thousand dollars for a 16 ounce bottle, it has an extremely high price tag which is in part due to the crystal decanter, 18 carat gold collar and 5 carat diamond container.  The scent itself is made of pure quality essences such as ylang ylang, vanilla and sandalwood and is said to be a beautifully appealing combination.

Its early for predictions on which ladies perfumes will be top sellers in 2011 but there are some stapels in the perfume world that will never go out of fashion and with many new releases due in 2011 from some of the most popular fashion houses, there are sure to be some fantastic new scents released this year, so I thought I would add a perfume list of some of the upcoming perfume releases for the year ahead.
